Carte Vital

Hello!

Anybody could help me with getting an answer of how to get a Carte Vital?
We have lived here since 5 years, my son 11-years goes to school here, I myself work homebased in Antibes for a company in Finlande.

They say, I cannot get Carte Vital, even I live here permanently, but not pay taxes to France, but my son is in school here, so at least he should have Carte Vital, or not...?

Anybody could give a hint of how to proceed?

Thank you dears and have a great sunny day :-)

OK guys.

yep ,it'll be reciprocal agreement as if you lived elsewhere, what I can't understand is that if you live in France and your son is at school here then regardless of where your company is based, you should be declaring and paying in France and once you do that you'll get the carte vitale rather than a reciprical agreement form (from finland I presume). Contact your local CPAM regarding your son. The problem is that kids are on parents' cartes vitale so if you're not in the system here... :-O

Hope that helps a little ;-)

I do think your best bet is to take a look at the Europa website Sari - Finland is in the EU so there must be some sort of reciprocity.

Yes David, I pay my social charges to Finland, it´s obligatory.

Ok - Let us end the discussion here. I just took a wild guess that somebody might have faced a challenge like this :-) Thank you and have wonderful time you all with <3

Does Finland have any sort of reciprocal agreement with France? You say you don't pay taxes in France - do you complete a french tax return each year?

Do you pay social charges in Finland? If you do and there is a reciprocal agreement on healthcare there should be some way of getting round it. Poss a good idea to have a look on the EU Europa website to see if there is any info there. No one means to be unhelpful Sari but we simply have no experience of the situation you describe.

Thank you, Andrew, though it does not really answer my question here, especially in consern of my boy here.

if you're paying your taxes here then why not, if you're tax resident in Finland then no, I can't see how but I also can't see how you can be living here permanantly and not paying tax here...! Whoever you pay your charges sociales to - CPAM, RSI, MSA, CIPAV etc. are responsable for issueing your carte vitale. Bonne chance ;-)
