Can I change my estate agents contract from semi exclusive to a simple one? We have an arrangement where if they sell it they get their full commission but if we sell it with no contact with them they get half. I understand that after a period that can be change to a simple contract where if they sell it they still get their commission but if we do with no contact with they don’t get their commision. I do not want to do anything that is not correct but just asking the question?
I guess it depends on the details of your contract. You may have to wait until it expires, 3 or 6 months, before you can change the contract (certainly the case with Leggetts)
