ok so its a bit late but I have only just found it again after our move.
It dates from around 1800 but is based on an earlier recipe of the 1700s would you like me to post it here for next year.

I would love to see this recipe! I don't know much about Christmas puddings....could you post here if it is possible for you? What is the history behind this recipe? Do you need a few weeks to let the flavors macerate? Is this why you were hesitant to share the recipe now (too close to Christmas?).
