For those that have Assurance Vie plans, I wonder if you might be interested in the “clauses beneficiaries” below. They were recently agreed with legal advisers at my AV provider to govern the transfer of my AV to my wife if I predecease her, and ultimately (in our case, having no children) to the SPA. The AV provider commented that it is not uncommon for there to be delays in transferring AV funds on death. The reason is that it can sometimes be difficult for providers to find up to date wills/clear beneficiary instructions elsewhere etc, hence the rationale for drafting the clauses below. They are set out online in our AV accounts.
