It’s in our DNA, Jane. Or our trousers. We men all think alike - thickly, cunningly. It surprises me that you haven’t worked it out already, or perhaps it doesn’t. We all have our limitations. 
He is not completely useless in the kitchen, but he refuses to learn to make sauces.
