Concert South-West - Summer 2026

Hello everyone,

I don’t know if it is the right to share you this but I would like to invite you to a concert of 17th and 18th-century English music happening in the South-West this summer. My ensemble, Les Emissaires, will be performing a program titled “A Time for a Song and a Thought”, featuring works by Purcell, Eccles, Matteis, and Turner.

The concert will take place on Friday, August 7th at 7:00 PM at the Eglise Saints-Cyr-et-Julitte in Castelnau-Rivière-Basse. There is no reservation required.

We would be delighted to share this music with the local British and English-speaking community. We hope to see some of you there!

A nice thought and sounds great, but unfortunately a bit far for me to drive these days but I wish you all success with it. Oh, and welcome btw, be good to hear more from you on here, now you have arrived. :smiley:

It sounds delightful, just need to find out how far away you are. Long ago I was a singer in a Tudor music consort.
