These cardboard tubes are used to form concrete piles for foundations, are they available easily in France?

Thanks Stella, yes thats the thing, probably a Point P kind of item rather than a brico shed.

Edit: I see Leroy Merlin stock them (acording their website at least) so that saves me putting them in the car for travelling which is already pretty full.
