For such a fantastic Olympic Games opener. Only clanger in my mind was digging out Paul McCartney again. Why doesn’t someone tell him to get from up his own arse, and retire? I loved the Beatles, but, Macca, getting a better drummer in place of Ringo (and that wasn’t difficult) does’t slter the fact that you’re over the hill. Your voice is failing and getting the audience to sing along to Hey Jude is not far off The Good Old Dsys! There are so many young acts out there who could have been given a chance. He had to ask if we’d still love him when he was 64, surely he can get the message at 70!
