Covid boosters

Que the difference, the covid jab has not done anything like that, 4 years on, the largest “vaccination” program in history? Its not stopped it, its not protected people from catching it or mutating as its still doing that now. Its like taking a paracetemol for a headache, might help relieve it a bit but wont stop you giving the lurgy to others. It feels like the Emperors new suit of clothes.

We’ve discussed this before. When was the last time you hear of someone dying of Covid? There are small numbers dying with covid listed on the DC, but with a widely vaccinated population, infections tend to be relatively mild and less frequent than they would be without vaccination. And you know well that it’s not possible for humans to develop an immune response that prevents infection from the way people get repeat infections. You even described one of the strains as ‘natures vaccine’ - which it plainly wasn’t in the way you talk above.

If your body cannot produce a totally protective response, a vaccine is unlikely to give better protection, though it may do so in some cases.

During the height of Covid, there was no data/deaths on the number of folks dying from the “traditional” flu viruses… I’m genuinely curious if the data was manipulated back then to fit the lockdown narrative. And, now suddenly deaths from various flus are reported correctly?

You do live in a very odd place.

No data and specifics to rebut my point, just a simple comment like that tells me you don’t want to waste your time explaining with your vast knowledge, or I do live in a very weird place like Paris lol

right on track to depopulate the planet… or is this only relevant for the current “developed” countries?

This bit is spot on

The clue is in United Nations

Or did you mean that the data wasn’t being discussed?

It’s worth considering that the precautions to prevent COVID infection work very well for flu and other respiratory diseases too, so infection rates dropped away.

Better watch out for AI H5N1, because if that manages to jump into humans as a respiratory infection then life may be challenging for the unvaccinated.

Did they? 1.5m between people in shops was proven to be 3.5m short of the 5m the virus travels :joy: Masks, especially the basic blue surgical type did nothing to shield but could also concentrate the the virus particles until a larger viral load was drawn in.

I thought me wearing a mask was to stop me spreading “anything”… not to stop me “catching” anything…

Incidentally, covid has reared its head locally… so the fat lady has obviously not sung yet…

You should have seen the panic when I was waiting for the bunion op last year and started to cough in the waiting area, mostly from a very dry throat not having anything to drink since midnight. A nurse flew at me with a blue mask and I had to wear it all day apart from when I was in my room alone, you would have thought I had bubonic plague!

  so the good news is that you haven’t got bubonic plague… :+1: :+1:

From my visits to hospitals and surgeries in recent months… sometimes there’ve been signs asking one to wear a mask if coughing/suffering from whatever…
and some medical centres etc have not left it to your own initiative but are quite clear “put your mask on before entering…”
and other places say absolutely nothing…

but, considering that medical places are where folk go when they are sick, at their lowest healthwise, having surgery etc etc … it’s no bad thing to be cautious…

you coughed… and, as many of us have chanted in our youth… “coughs and sneezes spread diseases” so evasive action is a good idea, especially in hospital. :+1:

I received an Assurance Maladie letter advising me to get a flu jab after 14th October, and also a Covid-19 jab at the same time. When I asked at my pharmacy where I had my last Covid-19 jab I was told there is a shortage of Covid-19 vaccine and might not be available.

What to do? Shop around?

That’s what i did last time my (usually excellent) pharmacie couldn’t get supplies. The pharmacie in a town 12 km away did have stocks…

I asked today at my local pharmacy and they said both the Covid and grippe vaccines would be available from October 16 with no RDV needed.

We shall see…

Checked yesterday… 14th Oct for Grippe jabs (any time) and then 22nd Oct for our Covid jabs.. we’re “on the appointment list” at our pharmacy.. :crossed_fingers: :+1:

We had our flu jabs last week and Covid yesterday. Just sore arms and (in my case only) slight flu symptoms for a day.
