Do you mean a brocante?
I have never seen one near Chalus. There is a brocante place at La Monnerie in Cussac that does depot de vente. If you don't know La Monnerie, head towards Cussac along D699 I think it is, from the Champagnac La riviere direction, turn right at the mini roundabout and go down the hill. There is an old factory complex on the left (the Tresor office is there) and there is a big hangar building there with the brocante. They are not always open in the mornings, but I think open every day 2 - 5. Its full of stuff, dusty old french furniture and more modern stuff.
Have to confess that have never bought anything there as we have an aversion to the stuff and took most of the old ploughs and rusty pots we inherited down to the dechetterie. I do know however that she does depot de vente as I enquired about an office cupboard she had for sale, the price was exorbitant and it was cheaper to get one from Alinea, but she did say it was being sold on behalf of anglais...
There is another place between Cussac and St Matthieu, at La Forges on the right. Have never been there but others say it is pricey but the stuff is good. Also, the big Trocadore on the road into Limoges (if you go via Aixe) is supposed to be good.
