Hi - I have a French car - registered and insured in France. It is kept in a garage when we are not there. Our CT is due in the middle of April but we cannot make it out to France then as we are moving house. I have trawled the Internet but cannot find any information about what will happen if we are late in getting a CT?
Can anyone help me with this?

Your CT will simply expire. When you return to France make an appointment to have your car controlled. You can drive the car to the test centre on the day of your appointment but not use it otherwise until it has a new CT. If you feel the need for more reassurance then get the contrôle centre to give you a written confirmation of you rendezvous.
