It’s not too bad on the desktop where I have ad blockers installed but I’ve noticed Twitter/X on my phone (no ad blocker) is now popping up photos of scantily clad** young ladies who apparently live near me and (presumably) wish to offer me all sorts of “specialised” services (wink, wink).
These are utterly NSFW so that means no chance I will bother with Twitter during the day.
I guess we’ve now got to the point where only the sex industry will advertise on the platform.
So that’s pretty much the death knell I think.
**: very scantily in some cases, in fact I’m not sure a whole body fishnet actually counts as “clad” in any meaningful sense at all.
