Disposal of "sharps" – diabetes needles etc

Dear all
When we left the UK five years ago we brought several large yellow “sharps” containers used for disposal of medical waste. As someone with diabetes I use various types of needles daily.
Now the last container is almost full – and I don’t know what to do with them.
There’s nothing on the local mairie’s website – do I ask our local nurses [whom I know well] and who obviously have a large volume of such waste?
And where do I find new containers?
TIA

Yes you do

I pick my sharps bins up at the pharmacy when I collect my drugs, and when full hand them back in. Free.
