With Christmas feeling not long behind us we are now steaming forward towards Easter at a faster pace than is actually comfortable! We’re hectic as ever despite the wet and cold weather we are currently experiencing, frantically getting ready for the start of our season and preparing for the plant shows that we are attending in the not too distant future. Here is a run down of them with links for you to have a look yourselves.
Our first show is at Nexon, department 87 in the Limousin in the Parc du Château. This runs alternate years to Mortemart and this year is on Sunday 24 April. In May we are attending Les Journées des Plantes at the Arboretum de La Sedelle. This is near Crozant in the Creuse region, department 23. This is a two day event on 21 and 22 May. It’s a lovely area and place to visit and the event offers specialist expert talks, guided walks, refreshments as well as the various exhibitors. This will be our fifth year’s attending and every year it has more to look at and other garden related exhibitors, although we go as an exhibitor we never come away empty handed, we just can’t resist it! Another weekend event worth looking at is Lignac in Indre, department 36. This is the Fête des plantes de Chateau-Guillaume and runs on the 4 and 5 June. Again here is the link http://www.tourisme-france.info/indre/indre.html for further information.
