Do you floss?

I always hated flossing and wouldn’t do it. The dentist recommended inter dental brushes and I tried several. I found these to be much better than any others I tried.

Action do boxes of 30? silicon interdental brushes in a range of diameters that cost next to nothing. They’re very effective.

That’s what I use. It works a treat.
I’ve flossed about the same number of times I’ve used underarm deodorant, i.e never.
Underarm deodorant is the heroin of personal hygiene. Use it a few times and you’re hooked for life. Just say no folks

I’ve found that as I get older, underarm odour dosn’t seem to happen unless I have been outside working in very hot weather and sweated but I hate deodorant as it stains your clothes, a good soaping daily once or twice is far better.

I agree, I gave up underarm deodorant when I found it starting to make me itchy, a good soap and watering does the trick.

So many underarm deodorants are also anti-perspirants which cannot be good unless you are giving a presentation on stage. The aluminium used in the product could be bad. When I do use deodorant its not an anti-perspirant.

I have stopped using hair shampoo as well, I just use soap. Too many nasties in hair shampoos, my hair feels better for it and so does my wallet. 1st time it went a little dry so used wife’s moisturising soap, then hair just seemed to adapt and is far better than shampoo.

Good point about hair shampoo, having used up all mine, I am working through the slightly different stuff left by Fran. Never thought of using soap, might give it a try once Fran’s contribution is finished.

I am already, having only recently restarted shaving after many years of just being clipped at the barber’s, using ordinary soap, so why not?
When I say shaving, I mean just the cheeks, no complicated messing around with the mouth area, scissors will do for that, but I am not ashamed to say that I think it only fair to present a baby’s bottom smooth surface to the increasing number of ladies who seem to want to bise.

So I only shave on going-out-of-the-gate days. I don’t count forest and field in that, I’m not going to shave just for the dogs, they are much hairier than me.

My dad was a lifeboy soap fan until mum would only buy Imperial Leather but dad never used shampoo in his life, just soap and he died at 89 with not a single grey or white hair on his head, everyone used to remark on how he kept such black hair black and wanted to know his secret - probably soap bar washing.

Nothing would suprise me Shiba and good on him. I wont go back to shampoo any more as my hair feels better, nothing adverse and I want to look after my remaining thatch :joy:

I bought some shampoo recently which said it contained olive oil to help tired locks. One use last week and it went in the bin, never had such horrible, lank and oily hair directly after washing and will continue with the shower gel in the shower and soap bar in the main tub I think.
