ah this is the sign that goes with the satnav message 'vehicle has left the planned route' when the satnav reckons the road is actually parallel to the one you are driving on....commonly occurs near Millau for me...however to follow this advice would lead to me plummeting of the edge of a large rock face...possibly again what the sign is trying to say about Hollande's politics.
