Does government provide financial assistance to someone with no income

Can someone advice if there is such a thing as hardship allowance/grant to someone with no income?

Are there food banks in France.

Yes there are food banks and support depending on the circumstances. The first step is to contact the local assistante sociale, which is the entry point for a lot of things

There are food banks: the Restos du Coeur; also the Croix Rouge or the Secours Populaire can help in various ways. You would need to talk to an assistant(e) social(e) to find out what is available from the government.

Other areas might be different, but round here you can’t just turn up at a food bank and get given things. You have to have agreement from the AS.

There are the equivalent of soup kitchen which are more open to feeding anyone.

thank you that’s helpful
