Driving a UK registered car on titre séjour?

Hello everyone ! I am drowning in French bureaucracies and very confused about the rules regarding me bringing over my UK registered car to France on a VLS TS temporary workers (travailleur temporaire) visa.

I will be moving to France for about 9 months (September - May/June) to be an English Language Assistant and then returning back to the UK so won’t be there permanently. Once I get there I have to validate my visa to receive my titre de séjour which I believe counts as a residency permit.

Is there anyway for me to bring my car with me for the 9 months without having to register it as a French vehicle? Conflicting online advice says I will be classed as a resident so yes and all visitors over 6 months have to register - is this true?

Thanks for your help!!! Je suis vraiment perdue!!

Bonjour et bienvenue :waving_hand:

As I understand it, you will need a “green card” from your UK insurance company, to be insured during your time in France. They are only valid for 6 months, after which the insurance would be invalidated.
