Driving licence headache

Good morning all,

I would like to once again draw on the vast knowledge of the good people on the forum.

A little back ground, I am a UK National and Passport Holder.

With an Article 50 Carte Sejour.

I have previously passed my Articulated Licence category in the UK.

I exchanged my UK Car and Truck Licence for a Canadian Car Licence and subsequently passed my Semi-Truck and Air Brake tests in Manitoba Canada. (2018)

I am currently in possession of a Canadian (MB) driving licence with full Semi-Truck and Air Brake categories.

Now that I am no longer working in Canada and have returned to full time living in France I wish to exchange my Licence.

It is my understanding that France do not recognise the Canadian large goods category.

My question now I finally get to the point is:

Is there a way of providing additional information during my licence application to the French authorities that I have previously held and qualified for a LGV category in the UK so that I can have this on my French Licence?

Thank you in anticipation and

Regards to all Cameron.

Thanks Mark, appreciate that. Will wait in anticipation!!

Hi, my ears were ringing. What state is your licence from? And did they take your UK licence away when you exchanged?

Hi Kim,

Thanks, for replying.

My Canadian licence is from Manitoba and yes they cut my UK Licence in half in front of me!!

Although, very apologetic at the time :slightly_smiling_face:
