EES - someday my prints will be done

Well EES is not going to happen by 10th November, doubt it will be 17th either, they are not ready. All Lisa’s fault it seems.

I’m praying they don’t do it until after Christmas!

why??? Father Christmas has an exemption pass…

I have a cunning plan to jump the queues, I will start an argument with a border control officer and then they will take me away and photograph me and take my finger prints :bulb:

I’m not worried about him! Its us going back to the UK for the first time in 7 years!

@toryroo no problems for those with CdSWA… but kids without the CdSWA do need their own travel document… DCEM I believe

and you go in the EU channel armed with Passport and CdSWA… children DCEM and all… none of this third-world stuff

I can’t remember who… but one of our members reported his wife had travelled, very recently, and used the EU lanes with no problems…

let’s think positive thoughts !!

You’re not going to believe this …

Thank goodness, we can all relax… for a while
until we find something else to panic about…

I am :joy:

Twas me!

They’ve definitely got Boris Johnson Informatique (a Panama-registered IT contractor) running it…

Well done @SuePJ that song was on my mind, too…

I’ve just played this twice, to OH’s horror
If I’d joined in by singing, I think he’d have left home

Do we know when they aew now thinking of getting it up and running?

I’ve been trawling through as much as I can find… with no decent outcome.
No news…

“many travellers” but not which travellers… aaargh

"The latest delay means many travellers will now undergo EES registration when they depart for their summer 2025 break.

This will be in tandem with the need to register for the EU’s Etias visa waiver scheme, which the EU says will be introduced “in the first half of 2025”

TTG - Travel industry news - European Union confirms further delay to Entry-Exit System.

I was thinking of going for a day trip/lunch when they finally make up their EU collective minds in order to hopefully not face a debacle in 2025.

Frankly, if you can come here now (ie November) why not profit from a non-problematic journey…

Any new system is going to have bugs… whether or not they stink… that’s another question

I am but there is still next years visits to contend with. Dieppe is slow enough now :joy:
