That period of time was for me was when I lived without TV (by choice) for about 10 years.....so no 'Top of the Pops etc....I started teaching Art in 1983... a world away now.......I do remember having a Wham obsessed Yr 11 and the sounds of 'Wake me up, before you go, go' being ghetto-blasted (and sung and danced to enthusiastically), after they had completed the last day of their GCSE Art exam. of course there are the obvious ones like 'Billy Jean' and 'Tainted Love'....try this link..
