Just wondering⊠How has this âcropped upâ?
EDIT: I know someone needed to do one when buying a car, Iâll look for the thread
here it is⊠is this any help?
Hi Stella, My daughter needs to modify her AE & been told this is how she must do it??
regards
There have been a couple of threads on this recently. One of them has a link to a blog post that may be helpful.
Basically if she has the LaPoste digital identity app that she can use with Connect-Plus it is easy.
https://lidentitenumerique.laposte.fr/
If not it is more complicated.
Usually itâs done by âe-signingâ a PDF file securely online.
I have my wedding photography cleints sign their contracts this way - I upload a PDF to Adobeâs website and send the clients the link; they sign online, I get a notification and countersign it the same way; we then both get a secure PDF copy for our records.
Whoever is asking you for an e-signature should tell you where and how to do it!
The way Iâve had to do it a few times recently is nothing like youâd expect from the word âsignatureâ, rather than involving signing things, what they were calling an electronic signature basically involved receiving an SMS or email with a code, which you then put into the site to confirm what youâre doing, effectively by putting in the code youâre agreeing to what youâve put in the form or whatever and acknowledging that after that moment youâre committed. Clearly without seeing the specific process Iâve no idea whether itâs a standard e-signing or something like this, but itâs a potential meaning.
The government does have a list of what electronic signatures it accepts currently.
But the easiest way to digitally sign govt forms online is via France Connect+ and LaPoste Identité Numérique, which does not actually involve signing your name at all. It is basically a secure digital identity check via the IN app. Unfortunately not everyone can get verified for IN, it depends what titre de séjour you have.
Iâve just had to do one for my insurance docs for my new car - the body requiring the signature sends an interactive document online and you simply follow the steps.
I think the query is about signing a document on INPI though and that is not how INPI does it.
Oh I see, I got the wrong end of the stick, sorry!
Thanks everyone, very useful.
However the main problem is that Le Poste will not accept her residency card.
She went to LP all done & told she would get an email, email arrived & said it was not accepted!
Help!
In that case I think your best source of advice to follow up next is ValĂ©rieâs blog post on this issue, as mentioned above.
Here is the link again
Edit:
Just for clarity, La Poste does not decide what is acceptable. They simply follow procedures. The decision is made at a higher level, I suspect most likely by AI.
Many thanks to everyone that replied particulaly to Sandcastle. We used the link suggested
& it seems to have worked!! So fingers crossed!
regards
Well, thatâs the New Year off to a good start
