Hah, no, the other one. The SAAB is well run in.
It’s difficult right now due to the run in period, it just feels all wrong. Going into bends and already at the rev limit in top. Another 60km and I can get to 5000rpm

Yes, with modern machining tolerances and then synthetic oil. But no harm to take it easy for the first few miles. Though in the old days there was a theory that that only built up a compression sapping glaze on the cylinder /barrels. You pays your money and you takes your choice

I’m minded to be a bit flexible with the limits but, with today’s technology, I’m a bit twitchy about what logging might be happening and impact on future warranty.
I had a pal who was denied warranty work by KTM because they claimed the logs showed they he’d over revved it. He denied it but got nowhere.

I had to look carefully in order to realise that it actually is a Triumph Trident. My goodness how they have changed from the originals of yesteryear. Does it actually have a kickstart ?
I reckon I’m too old for restarting that sort of crazyness, and if I did, then I’m sure that my licence wouldn’t last long. Too many speed limits and too many cameras these days. Mind you, if you can get the speed limits changed from kph to mph, then perhaps I could find an old Norton Commando and give you a run for your money.

We found it useful to print out a"kph=mph" chart for when we were driving our old UK cars in France … long ago… helped our brains to make the “translation” automatically (eventually). 
might have to use Sellotape to stick it on a bike though

It’s all automagic now, press a button and it’s in miles or km.
I’ve also discovered that you can control a Go-Pro camera using the bike’s controls, not that I have any intent to provide evidence for the prosecution.

I’m not sure when I last saw a kickstart on a road bike. The 80s perhaps.

Modern Technology has the answer. 
On my Honda 750S I just go into the screen menu and change the speedo units from mph to kph. The only downside of that is it resets the trip meter, so I do it while I am queuing up for the ferry.
I also have a small (waterproof) Carpuride Carplay unit attached to the handlebars so I have satnav and music - it all connects to my iPhone and a Bluetooth receiver in my crash helmet.
