I find air travel stressful enough, short haul only for me. I’d be interested in joining their incident management meetings to listen in and learn. The code was surely changed when the newer engines were fitted but being safety critical testing and simulations would have been exhaustive. Hopefully the defect will be identified and fixed but reputation is king in that trade especially. RIP those who have lost their lives
This surprises me. I’d question why a software upgrade was being worked on after the 1st crash but the 737 fleet wasn’t grounded as a precaution?
