Whoops… Just saw that the entire music catalogue, the associated meta data and users’ listening data has been leaked, and it’s gradually being shared via the Anna’s Archive site ![]()
The music itself isn’t the most interesting part of this leak, imo. It’s the sheer size of their catalogue, plus just how many listens artists other than the biggest of the big artists have mustered.
Spotify has around 256 million tracks.

We can also estimate that the top three songs (as of writing) have a higher total stream count than the bottom 20-100 million songs combined:

PS - I don’t condone hacking companies and exfiltrating their data… but, then again, this is Spotify we’re talking about.
