And why not, I’m not a holier-than-thou rabbit , nor a caster of the first stone But the people doing it just need to be honest with themselves. It’s a shabby thing to do given the price that was paid for independence It’s akin to disrespecting the poppy.
I totally accept that people may not understand that, I had to be “educated” when I first moved to Ireland. You can imagine that with my south London accent that was and interesting period of my schooling
The state of the World is not a reason to not stand up for what you believe in Jane. In fact, IMO, the current state of the World is because not enough people have stood up for what they believe in.
I called nobody a fraud. Tim. I was very careful with my language. I described a behaviour and expressed my views on it. If you chose apply that behaviour to yourself sobeit. That’s your problem.
I’m interested by your reaction, @Roger_Lapin . You seem plus irlandais que le Taoiseach!
I investigated the possibility of an Irish passport and see no moral aspect to it at all. (Had adoption records not been destroyed, I might have succeeded, too.) I don’t see the Irish government suggesting anything different. In fact, they seem quite keen on people applying for citizenship: Citizenship | Department Of Foreign Affairs and Trade | Ireland.ie | Ireland.ie
Although I’m less keen on Sudanese people passing through France and Ireland in order to enter the UK! That seems to me much more like taking liberties.
I have no further interest in “debating” with you. As I said previously, you don’t debate honestly and you’re now showing your true colours, so I’m out.
