Your forgot. BBC screamed pretty loud in 2023. Their lies, however, were discovered and refuted. There’s nothing to talk about - Gazans asked for what’s gong on. These “children” are raised as terrorists. Gaza was living happily before October 7, and now they reap what they saw.

This is the problem that few want to address.
Hamas and the majority of Palestinians would like to see Israel destroyed. Israel would like to see Palestine destroyed (whether because of its threat to Israel’s existence is immaterial). In terms of aims, each is as bad as the other.
So why the October attacks? Why the obscene savagery? Clearly, Hamas knew what the response would be. Equally clearly, they placed no value on Israeli lives or even on the lives of their own people.
Hamas’s intention can only have been (as far as I can see) to cause the Israeli response we have seen, with the aim of recruiting ordinary people to their cause of the destruction of the state of Israel: the “globalise the Intifada” idea. It wasn’t even that the deaths of Palestinians were collateral damage: these deaths were the aim.
Hamas are not the Palestinian people, just as the Israeli government are not the Israeli people. I have to wonder, after the sheer cruel brutality of the attack, if there wasn’t another hand or hands behind it.
However there’s an article on the BBC this morning that covers a key difference between the 2 nations.

You offer a valid point but I cannot agree. I would think the actions of Hamas were born out of frustration. They could not have foreseen the brutality and disproportionate scale of the Israeli response.
It was possibly only to be expected and gave the Israelis a great excuse to further their plans of expansion. I doubt Ben Givr, Smotrich and the like care any more about Israeli lives than you profer that Hamas do Palestinians.
So the “keyboard warriors” solution to the slaughter of innocent civilians in Gaza is to slaughter innocent civilians in Israel, genius.
Making disparaging remarks about people you don’t agree with will not solve anything. People’s sympathies are divergent but in this context we are all ‘keyboard warriors’ whichever cause one supports.

The vast majority on here are appalled by Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West bank yet we are just as powerless to prevent it as we are getting Putin to cease obliterating Ukraine.
Many of us care deeply and take many kinds of action, but we have chosen not to bleat endlessly on a forum reflecting life in France. If you wish to vent your spleen (assuming rabbits or scullys have spleens) there are more appropriate outlets.
I have noticed a change in attitude on both BBC and Sky in recent weeks . They are slightly less inclined to parrot IDF sound bites than they were 2 years ago. I would like to think it is because of the critical comments being made by people like me on other fora .. That’s where we disagree Tim. Many would have said the same about apartheid South Africa. But over time it was changed. A defeatist attitude is generally not a good place to start to try and engender change,
