Love Lyon and love our house an hour NW of Lyon. Lyon is very central and well served by EasyJet. Great links to visit interesting cities - as well as getting over to the UK frequently, to visit friends and family. Flights are really cheap from here - if you book a month or two in advance. My only wish is that all my mates from Cape Town lived here too - and the sea was a bit closer! Fortunately, air fares have come down - and it is affordable to head to the bush in Botswana (need that fix) and/or Cape Town once a year. Used to do a lot of offshore kayak fishing when we lived in Brisbane - only been once here, during a holiday to Brittany.
