I know, I was just too lazy to do the math.
Clearly they do.
Something that is never far from my mind, and why I am always squeaky clean legally speaking. To the extent that I always make the nose of the car dip at a Stop sign, the stop thus recorded on the dashcam. ![]()
Itâs an A series. Iâve owned both, even as an American, way back when the UK had a healthy (?) car industry. First car was an Austin America (MG 1300 clone ) with that engine and this transmission.AP automatic transmission - Wikipedia, followed very quickly by an MGB (before I had a chance to break the automatic transmission). Is that car an Austin A40?
They would work for nothingâŚbut that would really highlight the cruelty.
Back on topic and away from BMCâŚ
Senator Schiff was brilliant in his line of questioning yesterday.
we are just shocked, speechless, cannot believe that this is happening. how is it possible???
Donald Trump is the single greatest reason I no longer want to live in the USA. Iâm in a stage of grief, as the US is no longer the nation I revered and respected for the first 63 years of my life. All that changed in 2016.
Max, I think itâs safe to say youâre not alone, many Brits have a similar reaction to whatâs happening in the Uk. Try to stay sane in an increasingly insane world ![]()
No, a Wolseley or Riley (hence the grill) variant of the Cambridge/Oxford Iâd guess, and with a B series engine. Note the similarity below. The A40 (the Worldâs first hatchback) probably had an A series ,which went on to do sterling service in the (real) Mini.
Sacrilege, an MGB with a slush box. One with a (Chrysler) V8 one assumes?
For the British too, with the single largest of act self harm ever, Brexit. None of the shitty UK politicians on all sides, while acknowledging that growth is the antidote to the failing economy, have the guts and vision to say we must rejoin the Single Market and recover the (understated) 4% of GDP lost through Brexit. Everything else is rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
For the US, Trump has to go, but the Democrats are useless. Who knows what three more years of him flailing around making one stupid decision after another will bring. I still have a big grievance with Starmer licking his bottom, including the Windsor jaunt, for SFA in return.
Starmer needs to go as well.
No, the Austin America had the slushbox (an 8 quart, common sump one). The MGB had a proper gearbox- and Dunlop wires.
Ahh, the 1300. My first real girlfriendâs mother had a white 1300 GT. They were just a Mini engine and gearbox. Not sure how the auto coped with engine oil, but there you are ![]()
I think he might try to cancel elections. I suspect he respects Putin for turning Russia into a dictatorship.
Starmer isnât the real problem, Labour currently just donât have the answers so ditching him wonât solve anything. The best you can hope for is an epiphany of some sort over the next four years and they produce sound policies to start to fix the raft of problems facing the country.
Re-joining the Single Market is not happening in my lifetime let alone yours (no offence) so youâll have to think of something more realistic to wish for.![]()
I have, and there isnât Tim
Despite wittering on about growth for years now, nobody in any party, any Government department nor any academic institution has come up with a plan. Meanwhile thereâs +/- 4% just sitting there for the taking.
IMHO, if Starmer had any courage and any integrity his message should be the truth. Brexit was a massive mistake, Farage and the Tories took us there (I know Corbyn wasnât a âcommittedâ and very visible remainer). If you want more Farage, good luck to you, but in the meantime Labour is going to try and repair the damage and negotiate swift access to the Single Market (and that wonât be easy).
I follow American politics very closely. Bondi and Noem are a couple of airhead Trump transplants from dog knows where. They are scared to death to go against Diaper Don, hence, their lips are planted firmly on the orange moronâs bum. Ugh! America is rapidly becoming the new Nazi Germany, according to my many US friends. Not all of them are Democrats either.
Yes, he didnât repeat his mistake of his first outing, heâs surrounded himself with loyal incompetents. .
This is worrying.
