Once again it is time for the submission of French Tax returns. This year, I have created a series of pdf files to help in this regard which I shall link to in this first post in the topic for ease of reference. Please note that the pdf’s are stored in a discrete area of my on line Dropbox folder. You are welcome to freely download them and use them to assist in your task. Declaring your Income

Online declarations are open now… but it is interesting to note that folk can still do the paper (no matter what their income) one if they do not have access to the internet at their principal residence. There are many of the oldies around here who will breath a sigh of relief. I believe they can also do the paper one if they are not sufficiently au fait with online stuff… Nous vous rappelons que la déclaration de revenus doit être réalisée par internet si le revenu fiscal de référence qui figure sur votre dernier avis d’impôt est supérieur à 15 000 euros et que votre résidence principale est équipée d’un accès à internet.

If you already have a numéro fiscal, you can start by going to the Particulier | impots.gouv.fr website and click on either Votre espace particulier (private individual) or
Votre espace professionnel (professional people) Your numéro fiscal will be on your last tax bill.

and create your online account from there.

Looked through all my Avis d’Impot and I do not have a numéro fiscal, so how am I meant to complete on line if I can’t get by the first hurdle

Well, surely you need to decide if you are Declarant 1 or Declarant 2 ??

My OHalf is Declarant 1… as lowly wife I am Declarant 2

Each Declarant has a Numero Fiscal ( see the red box above…) unless you are saying there is a “blank” on your own Avis…

I am the lowly declarant 2 but can I set up the on line account ?

Yes you can, each of you should have an account and you can use it to access lots of gov sites.

Definitely can… we may be lowly but we still have our rights…

I’m Déclarant 2 as Déclarant 1 is better at maths than I am.
