Hi. It’s time to file my first Tax return. As it is a paper return I need to down load cerfa 2042 etc. The form is still not available on the Impot’s website for 2026 filing anyone know why? The complimentary form is there.

Yes but the main form 2042 is absent. It is there for previous years but not the 2025 year for this years filing.
Sorry, didn’t notice. Only thing I can suggest is to phone your tax office. They should have sent you one on paper.
I will go to the impots in Cahors on Monday. I was hoping to save myself a trip with the cost of fuel.
Have you got your espace particulier set up? As generally the secure messaging system works well. You still have a month to the deadline so time to get it posted.
Can you setup espace particulier for 1st filing? I thought you had to have a numero fiscal to do it.
Preciously yes, although some had managed by sending an email to their local SIP (impôts office) with ID and justification of address. But apparently this has changed as of Feb this year and is now possible either directly of if you have a France Connect account (eg using your Ameli credentials). As ever France Services may be able to help.
Gourdon is closer to you than Cahors? There is a tax office there that I think you might come under.
Had been to Cahors last month had an appointment to go through everything. We have everything we need except the damn form. can’t understand why it’s not available to download.
Why not just phone them? Could save the trip although access times need checking online especially this time of year, and you might have a longer wait than at other times of the year but you will get through
I have been filing online for the past three years and I have found it to be confusing this year in trying to access Annexe forms such as you require. I was about to give up but decided to go back to the first page of the main form and after a couple of times doing this, was able to find what I was looking for. One of the previous forms has been incorporated in the main one now that I filed last time as well. Persevere a bit more to save going to the main office first

Hi Jane Apparently they are not available to download as they want everyone to file online
"France no longer provides a downloadable PDF for the main 2042 form.
The tax office has quietly removed it because the 2042 must now be completed online (unless you are officially exempt from online filing)."

You can surely go and get the paper Declaration from your local Tax Office or ask them to post the forms out to you?
Paper Declaration should be made by 19th May… so there is still time.
I’m quietly wandering through the various Forms which arrived in 2 batches a week ago.
