You have my sympathy as I've been in Dorset for the last two months and we have had extensive flooding in this area. I'm just outside of Blandford so you will have seen photos of the river Stour on the UK news over the last few weeks. There doesn't appear to be much let up in the future forecasts either. Vive l'été!
I don't suppose my sympathy will help much, but it's there.
We got loads of places like that around, more fields than anything but a number of villages. It is a wonder the Dordogne has not (yet) burst its banks in some of the lower places and with mainly rain forecast until 5 February who knows.
