If the buyer says “No, I haven’t seen them”, the sale stops right there - and the Notaire asks the seller to send the diagnostics to the buyer. The buyers must then accept them and if they do not, then the sale stops there.

I would not be surprised if the Notary asks the buyers to sign a document that says they received and read the diagnostics before proceeding to the contractual sale.
