Found this on Le Bon Coin for €15!

Pretty cool light fitting, very heavy, has a patina from salt water maybe. Perhaps from a ship or docks at some point in time

The more I look at it the more I admire the fitter. My heart would have bumped and a fine film of sweat would have broken out on brow and hands before I took a drill to those pristine tiles, James… the fitting looks very handsome, but a heavy, brutishly handsome thing:thinking::scream::cold_sweat::fearful::face_with_thermometer:

Thanks

I like those stainless steel Torx fasteners, they suit the job I reckon

I put a couple of lights like that up for a Dutch friend a couple of years ago, they had Pentagon shaped bolt heads holding the 2 halves together. Think they came off a warship maybe.

The trick is a diamond tile drill - I have a set and they make drilling through tiles a breeze.

However, the fixing we can see looks as though the hole was drilled through the grout line.

Both the holes landed slightly off the grout line, a risky place to drill a tile but no problem with the diamond bit.
