I agree Suzanne, it can be a pretty squirmish! I'm Irish and we don't really do the flirting thing naturally. I still blush too!!
In a village nearly everyone knows everyone elses business so we do find out all about who's been playing around with who. I do agree though about French men, not all, but some are very flirtacious and I know it's something I end up blushing about...I get a bit embarrassed actually, especially if it happens in front of my husband, I don't know what to do with myself (except go bright red). Although I will admit it's great for the ego when you get looked up & down having come out of the hairdressers or beauty salon after a maquillage.
