How very frightening for you.
Did they know that they were being photographed?
Letches
Yes they knew they were being photographed and there was an official army photographer filming it all. Funnily one of the Officers asked how far the Belgian border was. We live in north Meuse so it is only 20km. Yes it was scary until we realised it was an exercise as it was at the time of many terrorists attacks and the village had not been notified. We are only 60 souls here. LOL Karen. Wait till I relate the the story of how 5 houses were destroyed by fire in the village at Easter.
At least owls fly silently. I remember a programme about how nature has given them the advantage of a super stealthy attack.
Beirut by any chance
@toryroo , off-topic but seeing as you asked on this thread hereâs an update.
Went to the Prefecture today, merged our individual appointments and in less than 20 mins all three of us were fingerprinted and our photos accepted, didnât even want to see our passports. Titre de sejour should turn up in 3-4 weeks.
In contrast to the massive dossier we had to submit in 2019 for our paper applications, our on-line application in June was accepted with the most basic of information, passports, avis dâimpots and declarations about how long we have lived in France.
Do the prefectures ever ask for additional documents when an application has been made via the portal.
The person at the prefecture who dealt with our fingerprints and photos today was the same one who processed our paper applications in 2019.
@Stella all done and dusted today.

BTW, back on the original topic. We live in the Razes west of Limoux and we get pairs of fighters flying very low over us. It was the airforce that blocked plans to put Ă©oliennes on the ridge near us as it would obstruct the training route.
Occasional they rattle the windows but usually theyâve come and gone before we are disturbed, Airbus test flights can be a little noisy but those are only during the day.
Donât be bloody ridiculous
@cat - bloody ridiculous, what are you referring to?
@toryroo didnât see the replies - either she didnât bother to follow the thread or they werenât published.
Just asking a question, a question that nobody has yet answered!
Email replies were not working for a while but itâs fixed now.
In the nicest possible wayâŠwe told you it was straightforward and easy once the portal opened
Used to do loads of work for the Military both US and UK. We were in the Naffis at a base in UK and those who had been screaming about the Sky that morning came in had there Fish and Chips and promptly went back to screaming about the Sky
What a Job Ehh
It was always difficult to get any work done when the option was to go and stand 10m away from F15,s takig off, Those things blow your mind.
