I can agree with that sentiment @james
I used to fly regularly from the UK to Calais-Dunkerque and there was a bus service from Marck (a short stroll from the airfield) direct into Calais for the incredible price of 1€ each way. The bus stopped at the terminal outside of the the town and there was then a free bus shuttle directly into the heart of the town.
Incredible value.

We have a free park and ride + town shuttle in Bergerac, you get on and off the minibus wherever you want, along a tangerine line painted on the road. I don’t know if they will continue through the winter.
