Frost is a nasty piece of work

Lord Frost, who will go down – and down – in history for trying to rewrite an agreement he himself negotiated, wrote in June 2016 about Brexit: “Even the best-case outcome can’t be as good as what we have now.”

William Keegan in The Observer today.

He might have negotiated, but BoJo signed it and Cummings’ recent revelation that he would sign anything and then try and work round it, shows how out of touch, yet again, this government is.

Based on the polling results Jane, Johnson seems to be very much in touch. I guess that’s what being a populist is all about, nothing else.

Absolutely Fleur - this was a pleasure to read this morning - erudite, informed, and as you say perceptive.

Unlike FOT it’s a bit waffly Fleur, though predictably (and deservedly anti Tory :slightly_smiling_face:) I think we can all see that like Nazi Germany, or indeed any populist regime a scapegoat is required. In this case it is the EU.
