Just wondering what the situation is like in France generally but Normandie in particular regarding fuel shortages by which I mean petrol.
We shall be there for a month or more and were in the position a few years ago of returning home early because of the lack of petrol in our area. We stayed as long as we could.
We were thinking of visiting another area in France too but have not booked anything in case the fuel gets harder to find.
I realise this is almost impossible to judge at this stage of the world fuel market
Should things accelerate with Trump and Iran it will obviously make a difference Sincerely hoping that this does not come to pass We have a friend in Iran and are unable to get in touch with him which is rather worrying.
Not aware of any shortages in South Manche or Calvados, just very expensive. Looks like Total Energies are keeping to their price cap and are 15 to 20 cents/litre cheaper than supermarkets (diesel).
Varies by garage in western Orne. Petrol seems generally ok,the stations that were selling diesel below eur 2.30 per litre seem to keep running out but just try another garage and feel sad at the price.
Very glad of my electric vehicle at present just wish it had a longer range…
I’m only using my EV apart from once a week run out in the Range rover just so it doesn’t feel neglected. Still got over 3/4 of a tank of diesel. I am getting very low on heating oil though…
