I have a lovely lilac bush growing around the back porch .Its lovely a full of buzzing bees but takes a daily sweep .My question is can I put the droppings on my compost heap ?

I know it is a Wisteria I also have a lilac tree & just happened to have the photo of the Wisteria not the lilac but needed to know asap re the compost .

I'm no Percy Thrower, but that looks more like a wisteria than a lilac.
I'll let the wife see it Mike. Interestingly she does seem to layer the compost heap (it's hers!) and turns it, especially this time of year. Since she took it over we have had better compost - not as fast as 18 days though!

Aha! Listened to Gardeners Question Time yesterday, so blame Bob Flowerdew if I'm wrong....
Bob said that you can put pretty much anything on your compost heap as long as your compost heap heats up properly and really does compost it.
