I’m not sure I like the idea of self-employed train drivers who may or may not show up when you book them.

That article says they’re looking to use Saint Pancras but according to the Indy, they might be considering Stratford instead…
…which would be good news for my son who lives near that part of town.

I took the train from Ashford International to London last week for a conference, there were signs up saying that international travel from that station would be resuming in 2026, but no other details. Perhaps this is what they were hinting at.
There has been quite a lot reported in the Kent papers at the lack of use for Ashford international and the Ebbsfleet stations. Lots of lobbying to bring back the services.
