A number of precautions in the first 3 months: no lifting the left arm for a month (so the probe in the left ventricle is not dislodged); no lifting; no driving for at least 3 months; must carry the card identification of the device at all times; identify the presence of the device at airport type security gates; don’t expose to the sun; no arc welding - as if lol; keep 2 metres away from induction hob; no battery tools. So quite a lot to consider. In 2017 the cost in USD was around $12,000
