I can’t see this service is of much use to most SF members - just seems to be selling URL promotion/search engine optimisation.

No worries. I understand. Will wait for Cat’s decision. The site was to help folks present here promote their business.
OK in theory, but many Survive France members are retired, or working for bigger organisations; there are some who are self-employed but probably a minority I would guess.
Also (with great respect) you will find we do have a well-developed allergy to snake-oil merchants, of which sadly there are many in your line of work.
