Gibbering idiot meets genocidal war criminal

Can it get any worse? I bloody hope not. Biden is complicit in genocide, a war criminal, with tens of thousands of women and children’s blood on his hands, and he sits there like some gurning idiot while a war criminal patronises him. This is 1960’s USSR stuff.

How dare this war criminal Netanyahu invoke Biden’s tenuous, irrelevant, “Irishness” when he knows full well Ireland, as a nation, despises his regime, and as a result the Israeli propaganda machine constantly disparages Ireland.

Because he’s a consummate liar that’s why. Ireland should reroute his flight into Shannon and arrest the bastard. :slightly_smiling_face: The day may come :crossed_fingers:100% of the Irish are up for it.

What has this to this got to do with living in France?

We continue to be global thinkers, some of us, even whilst living in France.

Living in France doesn’t mean one must ignore the rest of the World Gus :slightly_smiling_face: Especially when there’s a genocide happening and the man responsible is being lauded by the US Government.

Whats’s next? Maybe ticker tape parade for Putin would be in order, he’s murdered far less women and children than the Israeli army has.

Then change the name of this forum if you don’t want content to be France specific. A bit of honesty goes a long way.

There is, as far as i know, no mandate that subjects must be France speciific on SiF.

Is there?

No, absolutely not. But, it has been pointed out before that @John_Scully has a habit of creating threads about his favourite subjects i.e Ukraine, Israel and the US and having somewhat of a rant. I don’t really mind as I don’t read most of them, and many members do engage, but it does p*ss some members off and it was I think suggested that he create a single thread for each rather than creating regular new threads.

I should have added in my previous post that JS taking a patronising stance does little to impress me.

True, very true :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m not trying to impress you Gus, nor patronise you. I am trying to highlight a genocide. I am of the opinion that every little helps and the fact that we are even discussing it sort of proves my point :slightly_smiling_face:

I am outraged that this war criminal is being aplauded for blowing tens of thousands of women and children to pieces with American munitions. As @hairbear says, it does make me rant  but I think it should make everyone rant :slightly_smiling_face:

The fact that I don’t rant so much anymore doesn’t mean I an any less disgusted at what is going on.

I think the same goes for most chat rooms - there is always someone who either dominates or has particular views that do not coincide with others. Best just let it pass and disregard the posts that might be upsetting.

I generally agree with much of what JS says, so I know I do not have to open each post. But this one is particularly cringe-making watching Biden being completely bewildered and the other raving on and on!

Israel might be SoL if Harris becomes POTUS 47 and doesn’t toe the Democrat line on supporting them regardless of what they do.

Cannot ‘surviving’ somewhere not include thinking and talking about the rest of the world? Nowhere is it explicitly stated that SF is a forum only to supply information to and for people on living in France.

The words ‘parochial’ and ‘insular’ come to mind.

Absolutely. I don’t generally take part in John’s ranty threads, but others do and I’m free to ignore them if I want.

I muted him for a bit, because of the rants but then reinstated him because apart from the rants he makes a useful contribution. (And yes, I know John is reading this. )

I was so dismayed by the rapturous applause in Congress when that monster visted. Beyond belief.

Republicans. Rightist and self righteous. The sooner the House ejects them the better.

I’m sure everyone mutes someone from time to time and everyone gets muted by someone. I know I often mute people for a period if I find them a bit triggering (to use the modern parlance).

I wouldn’t know how to mute and thus never have. Don’t see the point, if you don’t like someone or what they write, don’t read. A no brainer to me.

Fully muting (or “ignoring”) someone is the same as not reading their output, or related output - just that it’s a bit more reliable as you don’t even get shown their posts.

To mute someone click on their avatar and then click again on their profile - at the top right of the page you get the option to message them, under that is a button which will generally say “Normal” - click on that and you can mute or completely ignore the user.
