Oooh! One of my favourite bands during teenage years. Sadly most of the originals are dead now (Lemmy, Nik Turner etc). Actually I got Space Ritual out the other day and put on the turntable, laid on the sofa and shut my eyes _ instant transportation.

I saw Hawkwind live at Guildford Civic Hall not that long after Silver Machine was a hit - it was a popular gig. Stacia was dancing, 
My ears lost a good chunk of their high frequency response at that gig as well.
Dave Brock is the only original member left in the band.
