Google Calendar problem

I think David is using Firefox…

Yes, thank you Brian, that’s more or less what I have done although I didn’t go through the steps to find my password as I already knew that. I thought I had changed it when refused this morning before I realised I was trying to put my password to Fran’s account.

So that means that her password has changed now. Better make a note although that account is never used.

Thank you for your help. :grinning:

We built in to some our our programs as a joke “Are you really, really sure?” as a third prompt.

No matter how many programmer jokes are included in the code, PICNIC errors will continue…

Glad you got it back. If you’re worried about losing your calendar data archive, you can export it using a thing called Google Take Out. It’s one of the options in Manage Account.

You can export data to your pc or external drive in a variety of formats. I’ve done it for years of Google photos. It’s a bit clunky tbh, but it does work.

I use a password manager called Dashlane. There’s a free version limited to one device and a certain number of passwords, or you can pay to sync and go unlimited. All data stored encrypted and local.

I have it on all my Macs, as well as phones and iPad. Works well, although rather better on the mobile devices, I think…

That sounds interesting @Bristolpete, I will check it out later, thanks.
I’ll pass on the password manager though, I am the best and most trusted manager I know.

The thing I like about Dashlane is it stores long, random, unique passwords for every app or site I use. I used to do that manually but needed to write them all down and hide them in a drawer! I decided Dashlane was a bit more secure, but nothing is 100% secure so I take your point.

Incidentally, I think I mistyped. They store your encrypted data, but not the data key, so it’s gibberish to anyone else, including Dashlane. A swine if you forget the master password though :grinning:
