I have a Heath Robinson greenhouse made from recycled bits and pieces but space inside is very limited. I recently found a load of stuff on YouTube about space saving seed snails so I have been experimenting.
Here is a typical seed snail ready to plant on. I keep mine in plant pots for convenience but tape or elastic bands work to keep them together.
And here is one of mine unrolled showing how well they work.
Here is a typical YouTube clip explaining a bit more.

Alright! I admit it!
I really did think the thread was about rearing/raising Snails for the garden… 'cos if they are kept under some control they can/do provide a tasty meal not only for humans but for birds and other natural marauders…

Me too, @Stella .
I would be too squeamish at the NATO’s end of things to raise snails, though.
Spellcheck changed “abattoir” to “NATO’s”. Weird.

I took read it that way, and suspect a certain amount of intent in the title.

Yes of course there was. I was alluding to a number of threads posted about killing snails this time last year. If I had called the thread "A new way to grow seedlings using a strip of plastic layered with dirt and rolled up into a cylinder, a) it would not fit the number of characters allowed for a title and b) would hardly have attracted any attention to what I think is an exiting idea for propagating seeds.

Maybe a new career awaits in marketing.
The start might be a bit sluggish, but I’m sure people would soon shell out.

That’s the problem with snails: if they don’t have a shell then they become very sluggish.
