Hello, soon to visit France

Hi, I’m from the UK and before Brexit I applied and recd a Polish permanent residency card (Article 50.)

I’m going to visit my aunt about 1.5 hours south of Lyon.

I might want to stay longer than 90 days, so I’ll have lots of questions)))

Welcome, and enjoy your visit to France

Unfortunately a Polish permanent residency card is not valid in France. The only extra right it gives you is to be able to enter France without a visa and apply for a carte de séjour within your first three months here. However doing it this way can be extremely long and complicated, and unless in a category with an automatic right like spouse of EU national can be refused.

Generally if you want to stay more than 90 days it is a lot easier just to apply for a visa from your country of residence - presumably Poland?
