Hermione - Voyage 2019

That is a beautiful looking vessel. My first sea going ship in the Navy was HMS Hermione. Greek mythology, daughter of King Menelaus of Sparta and wife Helen of Troy…one of 26 Leander class Frigates.

If you don’t know her is worth doing some research. A really interesting project.

I understand that the next Sete Escale with the tall ships will be in April 2020 so I would imagine Hermione will make her normal visit.

I’m like a kid at Christmas when Tall Ships are around.

On one occasion ( in the UK) … a neighbour casually mentioned that there were Tall Ships at Ipswich.

We hurriedly packed a picnic, climbed into the car and sped off… a long journey but well worth while… fabulous day !

I’m lucky as I sail at La Rochelle and the Hermione is a regular visitor to the town.
