What are your thoughts about houseprices in summer?

However I think it much more local. Are you looking in Ile de France, or more rural. Is it an old house, or a new one. But as a generality I think you can expect a price drop/openness to negotiation in early autumn as those with houses still unsold this year become more open to discussion,

I agree. We’ve bought three houses here and have always started looking in September. I should probably mention that we’re in an area that has a lot of holiday lets so people have made the most of renting for the season and want to sell at the end of it.
